Meet Pamela & David

Boardwalk Backstage Smash Burger is built on a lifetime in the restaurant business—and a shared love for great food, music, and the energy of the Jersey shore.

We’re Pam and David, a husband-and-wife team who have spent years building our careers around hospitality, community, and creating experiences people come back to.

David’s background is rooted in restaurant leadership, working as an operator and executive developing and leading multi-unit restaurants and entertainment-driven hospitality concepts across the country. Beyond restaurants, he has worked in entertainment and storytelling, serving as Executive Producer on documentary projects inspired by the life and music of Harry Chapin. These projects reflect a deeper focus on connection, community, and meaningful experiences—values that carry directly into Boardwalk Backstage Smash Burger.

He is also actively involved in philanthropic efforts, serving on the Board of Directors and treasurer of the Harry Chapin Foundation, supporting initiatives focused on community impact.

Pam’s journey began at a Jersey Shore fishery restaurant and evolved into bartending, eventually leading to owning and operating her own hot dog cart on the shore. Her experience grew into restaurant leadership as a General Manager. Most recently, she built a strong local community as the owner of Max Fitness & Wellness in Ocean Township.

Together, we created Boardwalk Backstage Smash Burgers as a hands-on venture—bringing everything we’ve learned into something simple and real: great burgers, great music, and a place people want to gather.

More Than a Food Truck

For us, this isn’t just about serving food.

It’s about the moments in between standing around the truck, music playing, conversations happening, and people connecting. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or staying awhile, we want this to feel like part of your day, not just a stop along the way.

Good food. Great music. Even better moments.
